After completing the new redwood front deck just a couple of days before the first winter freeze came a good coat of Thompson’s Waterseal was applied to the bare wood. I never tried this before but many said it was really good stuff and i did see the comericals on TV. Sure enough when it rained a couple of days after the coating the water beaded up just like everyone said it would. That night it got really cold. The next morning I headed out the door for work and soon found that all those beads of water that I was so proud of the night before had turned to little domes of ice and I soon found myself sitting on them with my feet over my head. Yup Thompson’s works well but be aware of ice! -- What do you mean I can't use a coat hanger for 12 ga wire? |
