Topic tags/keywords: insulation ceiling insulation vaulted ceiling pole barn ceiling drywall

Finishing the inside of a pole barn. Slab floor, 2×4 framed interior walls up against the existing girts. I want to finish the (vaulted) ceiling with drywall. There are already blankets of fiberglass insulation between the purlins (2×6) and metal roofing with vinyl backing toward the interior. I would like like to put another layer of R13 insulation between the purlins and then finish with the drywall. My only concern is venting since the purlins run across and not long ways up to the peak. I would remove the vinyl backing of the existing insulation so I wouldn’t have two vapor barriers (I did this with the framed walls).
Any thoughts on the best way to do this?
Thank you in advance.

Good detail although there are alternate ways to drive the thermistor. Something to note is that the circuit in Figure 2 reduces the dynamic range of the ADC, something that may be of concern if you only have an 8 bit ADC available.
