Alright – it sounds like a kooky name. I’ll tell you why I’m so goofy, I found this fabric at a really inexpensive bargain basement fabric store. I know it’s really dated but when I saw it, I was instantly reminded of the hand woven colorful blankets made in Mexico. I had to have it.
I was surprised by how far off my yardage estimates were off. There were only 10 yards of the fabric with a 16 inch repeat. I told myself, I’ll do most of the sleeper in the stripe and use a solid on the outsides. Well – the sleeper is done all in the stripe fabric. I’m happy to be wrong.
I’ve had some nickel decorative tacks sitting around for a while so I decided to use them on this project.
So now that I have the sleeper sofa ready – Who is going to visit the Hacienda first?

When I first read the e mail message without the picture, I thought the fabric was going to be really loud and outlandish! Instead, it looks like something I would see at a nice furniture store!
Looks fantastic!
It would be neat to see a before picture for comparison.

Looks very comfortable. I like the fabric – goes well with your room.
Hmmm. Sleeper sofa ready? Visit your hacienda? Well, my youngest is fixin to move to Richardson by the end of this year. I can probably hop on the 635 and be at your place in less than an hour. I might take you up on that.
