After replacing the front of my garage, I had to take some of the old siding from the house to replace the missing pieces on the garage. I have been replacing the siding on the house with 8” lap siding from HD, I only do one wall at a time which includes, adding insulation, new foundation vent screens, house wrap and windows. On this particular wall, I replaced two kitchen windows and one living room window. Which of course led to having replace some broken tiles in the kitchen, but wait, we decided to just remodel the kitchen instead of replacing the broken tiles! That is the next project. I still need to paint the new siding, got side tracked with trimming out the new kitchen windows and starting the kitchen remodel job. Since I wasn’t going to try to brush paint the new wall, I went out and bought a paint sprayer. I have never used one before, so I have been reading a ton about how best to use this new tool and make the job look good.
I used only hand saws and planes to cut and trim the siding to fit.
