i have been building a new patio and ran out of bricks, so i got some presure treated lumber 2×4 from a box store and made up the difference ,they are the same with of the brick so i knotched them together and it worked out right on the measurements. its a 12×20 still working on the cabinets and counter top getting there thou . my neighbor gave me a old bar that im wrapping with cedar to match the cabinets when it get done i’ll be thur and post it. but the floor came out a lot nicer than i thought

That was a great way to extend your stone. The mix of wood and stone seems just right!

Great idea to stretch out existing supplies. One concern….did you make sure that the treated 2×4’s were rated for ground contact. Most in my area are not.

i just got treated lumber told the boy at the store what i was doing and he said that was the ones they were just a small difference than the pine up under the brick is a sheets of plastic them 5 inches of lime stone gravle and a inch of sand to aid in the levealing of the bricks and its covered should out last me :) it rains a lot here in Louisiana and they heat and humidity is bad but ive seen some of these old treated lumber lay out in theses elements 10 years and could still be used probley just a fence post thou
