Roof addition to the Deck

The back of our home is facing south which is great because you get all day sun. Which is the equivalent burden because you get all day sun. The existing deck is huge. Kindof built in a fat “L” shape or two different sized squares. The first square off the back of the house was 23’X18’ and the second square (with a pergola) was 13’X14’.
To get to the pergola (only deck area with limited shade) was to walk 18’ from the house. For more reasons than one we decided to add a roof to the deck. It is still not 100% completed and a will sit unfinished until the Ohio winter decides to leave (sometime in April/May) at which time I will replace the decking and add a knotty pine ceiling.
Here is what has gone down so far…

Are you planning to extend the roof line out to the end of the beams or are they getting cut back?

So far, looks like a well done project, I can’t wait to see it when it is finished.
