It took us 4 weeks of stripping wallpaper, caulking everywhere, sanding the cupboard doors, cutting a hole in the wall between the kitchen and living room, putting two coats of primer on and then two coats of paint on and then papering one wall. Here are some pictures of the work done.We stripped about three layers of wallpaper that had also been painted. It’s an old house and the walls and cupboards are really old too but they freshened up pretty nicely.
We now have a nice freshly painted kitchen for Christmas.
The first pic is of the old look to the cupboards, second pic is the wall between the kitchen and living room before the opening, third pic is after we cut the hole, fourth pic is the finished hole in the wall with the new wallpaper, fifth pic is the newly painted cupboards and border with a tile background between the top and bottom cupboards.sixth pic is of the wall with the accent color on it which also runs along the top valance of the cupboards.

Thanks Debbie. We love it too and now it feels more like our house instead of everything being in the taste of the owners before us.

Bon, what a lovely job you did on your kitchen! It is so bright and welcoming. I really like the exceptionally nice paint job you did on the wall with the window; it has so much depth and color.

I know this is an ancient thread, but now that the kitchen described above has been in use for a while I was hoping there might be some feedback, I hope.
I’m soon to be refurbing/replacing a kitchen and my wife wants painted cabinets.
Is there anything about the CIL paint that makes it the best choice besides its “No VOC” rating?
How does it hold up?
