————————————————————————————————————————
I decided to replace the treads and risers on my basement steps and to repair one of the stringers, someone in the past cut this stringer and put two steps off to the left which really never seemed to work so I decided to eliminate the steps and make the room bigger on that side. This is a basement remodel on a tight budget which I call the “Board a Day Plan” which really means when I get the money I buy some materials and make some improvements.

Thomrider, it looks like this Board a Day plan is really coming together well.
It looks like you created some more room for yourself in the basement.

Be good, Pabull.

Better a board a day, then no boards a day. One way or another it’ll get done. That’s the plan right? Nice job !!!

Looks good.
I just read a Woodsmith 200+ Shop Tips and Techniques magazine where they build storage rack system under basement stairs like yours. Here is a link to it online

Just a thought.
I am usually on Lumberjocks, but was fooling around on this site tonight.
Cheers

Thanks two kids! I am also doing a basement redo! I am going to retread my steps as well. I have put it off walls are built, sheetrock is up…except for the steps. Now I have to do the steps to keep moving!

Thanks
