We bought our little house in 1953.

Picture number one is 1954.

Picture number two is about 1975

The third picture is the present.

We started out with no basement, & in 1968 we rolled the house to the backyard, & had a foundation built.

Then rolled it back on the foundation.

There’s been a lot done to it since.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the house was jacked up, I added new 2×10 White pine floor joists, along side of the old 2×6s.
You’ll never believe what the price for the 2×10s, was $100 /1000 Board Ft. so they cost us $100.
“Picture number two is about 1975” ....you telling us that the last time you saw grass was in 1975?
A whole lot of changes in this home. Outstanding job Dick! Big changes!
1953! Jeez it’s still 5 years before I am born.
Great job Dick!
‘53 is quite a bit before I was born. . . . heck I’m not sure my parents were born yet :-)
The house looks great. It’s great to see a house grow up with a family.
Nice transformation, Dick. That’s the way to stay in the same neighborhood forever. I can tell you, the cost of construction materials is unbelievable. By the way Mr Trim, strained peaches still have that effect on me. ;o}
I also like watching that evergreen grow. Perhaps there is hope for my tiny 3”dia Bur Oak tree in my back yard.
A good friend of mine gave me those two Colorado Blue Spruce in 1969.
They were about 18” tall at the time. I gave them a lot of TLC.
