Upper level deck

This is a upper level deck that we built. We tore down an existing deck the same size and had to start over, The lower cantilevered supports had partially rotted away ,so we cut off the dry rotted portion of some of the supports and half lapped a new section on and added vertical post were that was not possible. The half lapped supports came out very well if I do say so myself.

Nice job on the railings. Interesting floor plan. Is this in a flood plain? or near an ocean front beach?

I remember seeing most of the beach houses in Marco island were like this.

thanks,

You nailed it Mark, It’s River front. Kind of plain Jane build but it’s what the customer wanted.

Nice job Jim. Decks are probably my favorite thing to build.

Hey Jim,

Well built. Too bad they couldn’t take advantage of what you could really do for them.
