My Bungalow Exterior: Before and After My Bungalow Exterior: Before and After My Bungalow Exterior: Before and After Click the pictures to enlarge them

Photo 1: Our 1911 Bungalow in February 2002 when we bought it. Notice air conditioner in wall, and giant palm tree infested with ivy and all manner of critters.
Photo 2: Painting in 2004 destroyed the garden. I did the shingle work and carpentry. Painters did the rest.
Photo 3: Spring 2008 (My wife is the gardener).

One of my favorite shots of painting prep. I am replacing huge sections of damaged shingles.

It is time to touch=up and clean the exterior this summer. Sigh….

-- John. Weird..(shakes head). This place seems strangely familliar. Huh.. (Shrugs)....Oh well..

Great project, Gizmo. Of course, you’re in bungalow heaven, being in Pasadena. There aren’t too many original bungalows in my area, so that’s why I’m building one. Hopefully I’ll be able to display the traditional craftsmanship in the build. Have you done anything to the interior? Post some more pictures.

The garden sure looks beautiful. Knowing your work I’m sure the woodworks does to, but the picture just dosn’t quite show it. I always like seeing history treasured.

I really like the 3rd view/color. You might trim you garden up a bit. L0L
