Deciding what finish to use on our screen porch floor took a bit of time. It had to hold up to animals and kids. I have been wanting to paint a “barn style” quilt for some time so this floor was the perfect canvas. After applying a background coat of paint I measured out the chosen quilt block. Finding center is the first step but after that you can easily grid out your pattern and tape it up. I used Behr Deckover paint for this project. I purchased two colors and mixed them for my third color. Observations: the paint can recommends 50 sq. feet per gallon….it goes twice that far, so buy half the paint it recommends and have a bottle of Advil handy because this is backbreaking!!
