I am a self taught Designer~Craftsman. My business is "Todd A. Clippinger~American Craftsman."
I started doing home remodels in 1997 and I developed a penchant for working on period homes. I always had a need to repair or duplicate period trim, doors and built-ins. I discovered that not very many people could do this type of work, but I found that I enjoyed the challenge and I was good at it.
I eventually became introduced to the world of fine woodworking and made the cross-over. I became a juried artist in the 2007 Western Design Conference based on my craftsmanship and design. My projects include fitted and freestanding furniture and furnishings.
I am self-taught, I never had an apprenticeship or formal training. But my development was not without the help and advice of others. I feel a responsibility to share the knowledge with others as freely as it was shared with me, and the internet has provided a great opportunity to do this.
My motto is "Share the Love~Share the Knowledge." I believe that this is the spirit of a true American Craftsman. I try to fulfill this philosophy at my woodworking blog found at http://americancraftsmanworkshop.com.
