Hi All -
The attached video may be of interest to some of you thinking about a deck or landscape design project; I captured it from my PC some months back showing how I use a design software package to take much of the risk out of expensive & elaborate projects like this. I thought I’d post it here, and I also have a more extensive deck & landscape design visualization article on my website as well if anyone is interested.
I seriously got my money out of this little software package – it’s been just incredibly useful for me.
As you’ll see, the entire exterior of my home is modeled in here. I never have to worry about picking the wrong color pavers or where to plant trees – as I always do it here first!

Well I was inspired and took the plunge …
I’m not a perfectionist so the plans are more of a “rough draft” than anything specific.
It’s nice to see the possibilities of what I have created in my yard.

I absolutely LOVE what you’ve done!
Rough draft or not, the rendering above is beautiful – and these give so much insight on just so many fronts. Especially when you take it to three dimensions which is, of course, what these software design packages facilitate so nicely. And I really love your property!! :-)

Looks good. I use Punch Home Pro Architectural Series, which is great.
Design the house, deck, and landscape too.
