Hi all you Refurbers, we know that you must be very busy with your home renovations. Renovating can take up a lot of time, for this reason we had only two entries in the Haloween Challenge. We discussed the small turnout with our two contestants and with our sponsor Lee Valley and decided it would be best to call it a day on this one. We would like to thank out contestants for their entries and would also like to thank Lee Valley for sponsoring the event. Keep an eye out for our winter Awards and we hope you will all have some time to participate.

as one of the two entries it made sense to me to just cancel the event.
PaBull.. not sure what you mean by that. I, for one, would like to hear more about what you are thinking so the future of the site can grow bigger and better.
The contest was offered on all three sites and Lee Valley generously donated prizes for all contests. The contest, it seems, didn’t fit with the members here. Live and learn I guess.
Maybe HR members don’t want to do fun challenges.. and that’s ok. HR will develop into its own identity.

With the small participation I can see why Michael said “call it a day”. But let this NOT stop him from trying to come up with more projects to increase activity on this site. It is like throwing mud up against the wall, it will not all stick, but the more you throw the higher the chances.
If it was not for my trip to Hawaii, i would have done something with this project.

Hey PaBull, Don’t worry, we’re planning new challenges and awards in the future and I hope you will be the first posting the project in it ;). ...
