Apex is a miter saw made by Festool and it is usuallly used in trim work and cabinets. The if is the name of the stand
And yes it is not for framing

Ok – thanks – funny name – Since it’s a festool mitre saw, Kapex must stand for KAPital EXpenditure. The saw alone is $2000+ in New Zealand.
