I am a carpenter/builder working towards making enough money to pay off my student loans and build my own house and shop. While I dream of working as a furniture maker I just can't seem to make those monthly mortgage and student loan payments on a furniture makers income so I chose carpentry and construction over the desk job. It is a lot more physical work than the desk job, but I feel like I have achieved something at the end of each day.
I have two beautiful girls that take up a lot of my time so working on home projects and woodworking tends to get put on hold. I look forward to being a part of the homefurbers community, though, and will try to post often.
