Ok so I’m working on getting a new french door built, I got 2 free wood 1 light doors that I was going to make a new french door out of going to the porch/covered deck on the back of the house. Reason being was the old door was a 4 ft door and we wanted a 6 foot door…anyway I decided to cut most of the wall out in that area and just rebuild it back…but when I cut the wall out it looked so good that I called Slim to come up to look at it and she had the idea of adding it as a room to the house…..so we did…the post below it in the car port are spanned to far apart and the slab was only 4” thick so we cut out footers and poured them..had 2 2×10 both seemed in the same spot that I removed and got some 20 foot 2×10 to go all the way across in one piece…I know I didn’t need to go one piece but I do like to over kill somethings….....It was a good thing we did when we went to cut out the old 2×10 they fell out nothing attaching them to the house…wow…..well we fixed that with a bunch of lag bolts. We kept the tree that was going close so it feels like a tree house. we put 10 4×5 windows in it…........makes the house feel bigger.

Great job. You are going to have a wonderful place to live in when it is finished.
