Recently we sold our home in St. Joe and moved into a rental. The plan is to let our youngest finish her last year of high school here as I try to turn a 700 square foot cottage on a lake up north into a 1500 square foot home. We hope to be living in "Paradise" by the fall of 2009.

Though I am definately not a builder, I started swinging a hammer with my dad about age 4. He was always remodeling something. I started working around my own house 30 years ago but I have never before even thought about doing something this major.

I look forward to this sight as a form of inspiration and a source of information but mostly a chance to share. I hope to post photos and tales of my exploits as I go along. I'm sure some of it will be entertaining.
