All painting today. I’m tired. We are behind schedule. So what else is new? This is a sneak peak.

Surprising progress today. The laminate floor went in without a fuss. The new Diablo blade, on the table saw, went through the laminate with basely a whisper. I’m loving that blade.

This afternoon, I took the family to Benihana for our 28th wedding anniversary. When we got back home, I started in on the trim work. Door casing is done and I’m about a third through the base board. I hope I can get the rest installed early tomorrow evening.

Life is good. I feel pretty confident about what I’m doing thanks to you guys. I also went pretty durn fast (for me).

I had 2 hours after to work. Just enough time to finish nailing up the trim. I think I can do all the caulking tomorrow with breaking my back. So far, this has been the easiest room I have done. We’ll see if I still feel the same after I make the headboard, footboard, bed surround cabinet and storage units. The bed surround cabinet is a new beast for me.

Took a break yesterday. No work. So far today I have been taking it very easy. Bad headache. I still managed to get the trim caulked. At least that’s something out if the way. I just have to get my daughter back in the room. The furniture building can be done afterwards.

All trim is painted. A little touch up on the walls, a little time for drying and the room should be ready for my daughter. It’s nice to get another room done even though the furniture is not ready.

I couldn’t resist. I did the latex touch up and removed the tape and rosin paper. Looking good. I’ll try to get some
Daytime shots of the room tomorrow.

Oh – I forgot to mention, When I painted the trim, The very last speck of pink in that room disappeared. In part one of the blog, I mentioned all the good things that were happening in my life because the pink was gone. At least I thought I had mentioned all the good things. However;

I can see new hair growth (on my scalp not ears and nose).
I won the lottery (Twice in one week!)
My wife loves her job!
My son bought his OWN laptop.
My son bought his OWN Schwinn Mountain Bike.
I can walk into her room without shuddering.
My tooth Ache went away.
I can look at pepto bismol again without feeling sick to my stomach.
My daughter has starting to wear clothes that are not all black.
