I don’t think I’d be a great addition to this new team—not that I’ve already been one on LJ either!— ;o) but I’m deeply interested anyway.

As my signature states I’m “almost” homeless nowadays but I’m working towards it. Presently we live in an old house owned by my wife’s family. It is an 60/70+ years old traditional japanese house—”washitsubea” style—thus no western furniture at all, ”tatami”, ”shoji” and ”fusuma” everywhere. Far from ideal regarding comfort (no insulation, drafts, cold, heat, etc) but hey, it’s interesting… and free!

By the way, A/C here is not a luxury, it is a matter of survival.

No GT for now Debbie. Although we’re privileged because we have a small garden (quite unusual in downtown here) it is nothing to tell home about and I already have a hard time coping up with all the other sites traffic to involve myself in another.

I actually signed up here because I am very interested in it and because we plan on buying a house in the USA when we eventually leave Japan within the next few years. Obviously we’d like either to build or to get a fixer-upper. We’ll see…

Maybe then I will complete the Martin’s triumvirate.
