The past couple of days I have prepped some oak and cut it into the parts I need to make the architrave moldings in the living room. As you can see it consists of four parts. One thin strip, one cove, and two ogees. Stacked one atop another they make a nice window top. The side moldings are fluted. Simple design, not difficult to make and a nice effect that will not need any other window dressing like curtains..The parts: from left to right. thin strip, large cove, narrow ogee, wide ogee..Cap...
