Cedar Closets #1: Destruction and construction

Just lining our closets with cedar, to make sure we don’t have moth issues, and splitting one closet into two, with an additional door into the hallway. Yes, we’re making sure that there’s still a full plasterboard firewall between the hall and the bedroom closet. Destruction and reconstruction in the hallway: And one of the closet with most of the paneling in and the hanger rod back in place, the new hanger rod is maple, the trim is birch:

Cape Cod in Portland #3: backyard fence

The first thing I did immediately after moving in was to build a 6’ cedar fence around the backyard to make sure our dog could not get out. Here’s a before picture of the garage. After the perimeter of the yard was fenced I also enclosed the area behind the garage to make a dog run with dog door access to the garage.
